VLAST is about power, control and the illusion of change in systems that are designed to stay the same. 

For the sake of context and to avoid any misunderstanding, I am a leftist - more specifically, an Anarcho-Communist. In my view, we cannot remedy the pervasive inequities of our time without compassion and mutual aid as our guiding principles, and for that to be enabled we must first dismantle all systems of oppression and lay waste to the foundations they were built upon.

The vicious cycle of repeating patterns that maintains the status quo will not be broken by any individual person, but by the masses once the power of their collective will is realized and acted upon. The hour is late and the clock is ticking.  

For further reading, I suggest The Conquest of Bread by Pëtr Kropotkin as a foundational text on the subject...

As with my past releases, the cover photograph served as both thematic inspiration and as the raw data source from which all of the sounds were created. This is achieved by converting the photograph into sound as raw data and then manipulating it with effects in real-time. In essence, you are hearing me "play" the photograph as an instrument.
