Following HAZARDAJ, ODYO, XOM, ADAT, and HLUK, ISHARA is the next entry in a series of releases where I revisit the raw data I used to create my previous releases to make something entirely new, although this one is a bit different than the rest.

Instead of using raw data files that were already on-hand, I manipulated the cover of HAZARDAJ to create brand new images to harvest raw data from.

The image I created for the opening track (not pictured here), TARCHUR, was further manipulated to create the cover artwork, which also served as the raw data source for track 2, SVIKT.

SVIKT is rather unique from a technical perspective because I prepared the raw data in a way I have never tried before. I converted the image into sound as I normally do but I did it in two different ways and then combined the files, with one on each side of the stereo field. I also reversed one of the files so the raw data would run backwards and forwards simultaneously. I don't think I took full advantage of that idea so I will likely revisit it in the future.
